The SBI Junior Associate Recruitment 2026 covers a total of 9,124 vacancies, broken down into:
7,680 regular vacancies across 24 Circles/States/UTs.
1,444 backlog vacancies (including PwBD and Ex‑servicemen categories) across the same jurisdictions.

Maximum Age: 28 years (born on or before 01.04.2006)
OBC: +3 years
SC/ST: +5 years
PwBD (General/EWS): +10 years
PwBD (OBC): +13 years
PwBD (SC/ST): +15 years
Ex‑servicemen/Disabled Ex‑servicemen: Actual period of defence service +3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex‑servicemen belonging to SC/ST), subject to a maximum age of 50 years.
Widows, Divorced Women, and Women Judicially Separated from Husband (not remarried): +7 years (subject to a maximum age limit of 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST).
Trained Apprentices of SBI: 1 year (GEN/EWS), 4 years (OBC), 6 years (SC/ST), and higher relaxations for various PwBD categories as listed above.
Cumulative age relaxation is not permitted. All relaxation certificates must be submitted at the time of joining; no category changes are allowed after online registration.
The Preliminary Exam consists of three sections:
English Language – 30 questions, 30 marks, 20 minutes.
Numerical Ability – 35 questions, 35 marks, 20 minutes.
Reasoning Ability – 35 questions, 35 marks, 20 minutes.
Total – 100 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour. Negative marking: ¼ mark per wrong answer. No sectional cutoff; only aggregate marks are considered. Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for the Mains.
The Main Exam includes:
General/Financial Awareness – 50 questions, 50 marks, 35 minutes.
General English – 40 questions, 40 marks, 35 minutes.
Quantitative Aptitude – 50 questions, 50 marks, 45 minutes.
Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude – 50 questions, 60 marks, 45 minutes.
Total – 190 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours 40 minutes. Negative marking applies similarly. Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying percentage decided by the bank (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XS/DXS).
Where required, a local language test will be conducted at a centre designated by the bank in the State/UT applied for. This test is conducted at the candidate’s own expense.

The pay scale for Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) is:
Rs. 24,050‑1,340/3‑28,070‑1,650/3‑33,020‑2,000/4‑41,020‑2,340/7‑57,400‑4,400/1‑61,800‑2,680/1‑64,480.
Starting Basic Pay is Rs. 26,730 (Rs. 24,050 + two advance increments admissible to graduates). For candidates posted in metro areas like Mumbai, total starting emoluments are approximately Rs. 46,000 per month, inclusive of Dearness Allowance, other allowances at current rates, and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate Junior Associates. Allowances may vary with location.
Selected candidates are eligible for reimbursement of perquisites, Provident Fund, pension under the New Pension Scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit), medical benefits, leave‑fare allowance, and other facilities as per bank instructions issued from time to time.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 4% horizontal reservation under Section 34 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, covering a wide range of disabilities.
Disabled Ex‑servicemen and dependents of servicemen killed in action: 4.5% of total vacancies (in addition to the 10% reserved for Ex‑servicemen), totaling 14.5% for ex‑servicemen categories.
Reservation for PwBD/XS/DXS is horizontal and is included within the vacancies of the parent categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/GEN) to which the candidate belongs.
OBC reservation is limited to the non‑creamy layer; creamy layer candidates must indicate themselves as General.
EWS reservation requires an Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2025‑26, valid for 2026‑27, issued by a Competent Authority on the Government of India format.
