Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in any discipline from a Government‑recognized university (result declared on or before 31.07.2026). For NATS‑registered candidates, graduation result must be declared between 01.03.2022 and 31.07.2026. Must be an Indian citizen.
Age Limit: 20–28 years as on 01.07.2026 (General/EWS); relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD (5/5/3/10 years respectively).

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Graduation in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
The result must be declared on or before 31.07.2026.
For candidates registered under NATS, the graduation result must be declared between 01.03.2022 and 31.07.2026 (both dates inclusive) and they must produce mark sheets and provisional or degree certificates when required.
Nationality & Age Limit
Applicant must be a Citizen of India.
Minimum age 20 years and maximum age 28 years as on the cut‑off date 01.07.2026 for General and EWS category candidates. In other words, date of birth should fall between 01.07.1998 and 01.07.2006 (both inclusive).
Candidates registered under NAPS are eligible if they are less than 34 years of age on the cut‑off date after applying any relaxation.
Age Relaxation
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
Other Backward Classes (Non‑Creamy Layer): 3 years
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 10 years
Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates is allowed on a cumulative basis with only one of the remaining categories. To claim age relaxation, candidates must submit the requisite certificate at the time of personal interaction together with original certificates.

Stipend Details
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend for the one‑year contract, which varies according to the branch category.

For candidates selected under NATS, the Bank’s share after adjusting the Government subsidy (Rs. 6,150) is:

Selection Process
The selection for IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026‑27 follows a three‑tier approach:

The total duration is 90 minutes. The examination is conducted online using the candidate’s own front‑camera‑enabled desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone. Candidates must display the same ID proof uploaded on the apprenticeship portal. A minimum aggregate percentage as decided by the Bank is required; SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates get a 5% relaxation. There is no minimum qualifying mark for individual subjects.
Local Language Test
Candidates applying for a particular state must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding at least one local language of that state.
The test is conducted during document verification after the written exam.
Candidates who have studied the specified local language up to 10th or 12th standard are exempted.
Wait‑list
A state‑category‑wise wait‑list will be maintained for one year from the date of result or the next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier.

Register yourself on the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) or the NAPS portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) before the application opens.
Visit the “Career Opportunities” page on www.bfsissc.com or https://beep.bfsissc.com.
For NATS‑registered candidates: Log in at https://nats.education.gov.in/student_type.php and apply under “Apply against advertised vacancies” for Indian Overseas Bank.
For NAPS‑registered candidates: Go to https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/apprenticeship/opportunity, search “Indian Overseas Bank”, click “View”, then “Apply for this Opportunity”.
Provide your NATS/NAPS enrolment number while filling the online application form.
Apply for engagement from only one State/UT, preferably your home State/UT.
Pay the requisite application fee/intimation charges online between 07.07.2026 and 22.07.2026 through the BEEP portal. No other mode of payment is accepted.
Once submitted, applications cannot be withdrawn and fees paid are non‑refundable under any circumstances.
Important Instructions
Candidates must not have undergone apprenticeship earlier with IOB or any other organization, nor been terminated from apprenticeship training due to their own fault.
Candidates with one year or more of training or job experience after completing the educational qualification are not eligible.
Apprentices are not treated as “employees” of the Bank and are not entitled to employee benefits. They are allowed one day of casual leave per month (maximum 4 days at a time) totalling 12 days per year.
No Ex‑servicemen or Disabled Ex‑servicemen shall be engaged as apprentices, and there is no reservation for them in this process.
The Bank has no obligation to offer regular employment during or after the apprenticeship period.
Furnishing false, incorrect or tampered information will lead to disqualification or termination, even after engagement.
Requests for change of address, email ID or document verification dates will not be entertained.
All disputes are subject to the sole jurisdiction of courts situated at Chennai.
Documentation Required for Verification
Candidates shortlisted for document verification or personal interaction must produce the following original documents along with self‑attested photocopies:
Printout of the valid communication for personal interaction or reporting.
Printout of the email from BFSI SSC containing submitted application data.
Proof of date of birth (birth certificate or SSLC/Std. X certificate with DOB).
Photo identity proof such as Passport, Aadhaar/e‑Aadhaar, PAN Card, Driving Licence, or Voter’s Card.
Consolidated mark sheets and relevant educational qualification certificates.
Caste certificate in the prescribed format for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates.
Non‑creamy layer OBC certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026, where applicable.
Disability certificate in the prescribed format for PwBD candidates.
Any other document supporting eligibility.
