A single‑shift online objective test of 30 marks is conducted. The exam is divided into three sections, each carrying 10 marks:

General Knowledge & Current Affairs: Awareness of national, state, and international affairs, as well as general knowledge related to transportation.
Language: Proficiency in both Marathi and English.
To qualify, candidates must score at least 3 marks in each section and secure a minimum of 12 marks overall. If the test is held in multiple shifts, marks are normalised to ensure fairness.
Only candidates who clear the CBT are called for document verification. Required originals include:
RTA Bus Conductor Licence and Badge.
Caste or Non‑Creamy‑Layer certificate (for OBC, EWS, SEBC, SBC categories; SC/ST candidates are exempt).
Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar card, voter ID, PAN card, etc.).
Final selection includes a verification of physical parameters against the prescribed height and weight standards. Candidates must present accurate anthropometric measurements as per the notification guidelines.
