Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Is there any written exam for the Assam Petrochemicals Apprentice selection?
No, there is no written examination. Selection is based purely on academic merit (the percentage of marks secured in your ITI or Diploma examination) and successful verification of your original documents during the walk-in interaction.
2. Can final year students or experienced candidates apply?
Candidates must have already passed their qualifying ITI or Diploma exam within the last 5 years. Those currently pursuing their course or those who completed their degree/diploma more than 5 years ago are not eligible.
3. Why is NATS 2.0 or NAPS registration mandatory?
Under the Apprentices Act, 1961, all industrial apprenticeships must be logged and monitored through central government portals. Without a valid NATS 2.0 (for Diploma) or NAPS (for ITI) registration number, your candidature will be rejected at the venue.
4. What is the location of the walk-in interview?
The walk-in interaction will be held at the official company premises of Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited (APL) located in Namrup, District Dibrugarh, Assam.
An industrial apprenticeship with a state PSU like Assam Petro-Chemicals adds significant weight to your technical resume and opens doors to future permanent roles in the chemical and refinery sectors. Double-check your eligibility, organize your original certificates, and arrive at the Namrup campus early on your scheduled interview date.
